The life and adventures of James Todd, [ca. 1862?].

Autograph manuscript copy of a diary kept by James Todd, Nov 5, 1861-Jun 27, 1862, apparently transcribed by his friend, William C. Guirey. The diary contains brief entries concerning Todd's army enlistment in Sacramento, California, and his experiences in marching from California to Arizona Territory during operations of the California Column in the Civil War. Brief notes written and signed by Guirey are appended.
